Brittany Garden Designs

In 1985, Tim and Isobel set up ‘Garden Rescue’, blitzing and re-designing neglected gardens in Hampshire UK. Through the following decades they have developed and extended their skills.

They moved to Brittany in 2013 and continue to deepen their knowledge.

Isobel is a plantswoman and an amateur naturalist. She has years of horticultural experience both as a professional gardener and in nursery work. She has RHS qualifications in Horticulture and through Bournemouth University (Cannington Centre), Landscape and Garden Design 2007, and Forest Garden Design 2010. Isobel has practiced as a Garden Designer independently and in collaboration with others since 2007.

After Garden Rescue Tim was Warden of the Arboretum at West Dean Gardens, West Sussex, which has given him his life long love for ornamental trees, woodlands and green wood work.

To further his interest in and knowledge of the natural world, he became a Countryside Warden for the National Trust on the Quantock and Blackdown Hills in Somerset.

He has practiced his Green Wood skills as a workshop leader for Touchwood Enterprises, Bristol and freelance.
